Christmas #1

Today was Christmas with Papa Bob and Co. We all had a good time, the kids all played well together, Papa got to spend time with the newest grand kids, and Aunt Nat made some killer lasagna. Yummy! Here is some of Addie's take. Thanks Papa and Mona!

8 month check-up

Adelaide went in for her 8 month check-up yesterday. 16.2 lbs (23rd percentile) 27 1/4 inches tall (50th percentile) and her head was 44cm (63rd percentile). What a little bean, huh?

Papa Bob, we found you a payphone at Target

The bad news is you will have to drive to South Bend to use it. I almost ran into it with the cart, and when I saw it, you were the first person I thought of. Courtney asked me why I was taking a picture of a payphone, now we know.

Only nine more days.

Can you believe it's Christmas time already? Here is the pic we took for our Christmas card this year, in case you're not getting one
.

The hills are alive.......

Grandma Mona passed along a Target gift card last time we visited at the shop, check out what Addie got! The funniest part is that it plays bad Muzak versions of The Final Countdown by Europe, some bad song by the Dixie Chicks and a random Police song. As long as she likes it, right?

Mischief managed.

Hurricane Adelaide leaves a path of destruction in her wake.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Nobody puts baby in the corner.

Go Pack!!

The unexpected 16 hours we spent in a car in Wisconsin last weekend wasn't a complete fiasco. Addie got some cool new Packers duds out of the trip on a midnight run to Target for baby food!

First thanksgiving

A few shots from Adelaide's first Thanksgiving.

Where's my turkey, huh?

Turkey coma!

Ready for a big girl bed??

Last month we went to Indy for Courtney's foreign language conference. Addie fell asleep on our bed, so I made sure she couldn't go too far. Do you think a king size is too big?? At least she has room to roam.

Go Purdue?

Addie visited Grandma Mona with the new Purdue duds she got from her (thanks a bunch, Mo). As an IU alum, it was a hard morning for me. Uncle Rog said it best, "She's cute except for that Purdue shirt." Thanks Rog, my sentiments exactly. GO IU!!

Let's go see some punkins!

Courtney and Addie went to see Auntie Emily last week and went to a pumpkin patch. Good fun was had by all.

A Real Playdate, FINALLY!

Addie and Sam finally figured out the real meaning of playdate. Today both of them were awake and aware of each other while Sam was over.

We all ate lunch together! Well, sort of... Addie was in her bouncer in the dining room, but she didn't eat.

Bo and Annika had Jimmy John's and Sam had a grilled cheese, peaches, and blueberry shredded wheat.

Who's the big girl!?!?

It's time for.......CEREAL!!!!!!!!! That's right, our big girl is eating cereal. Actually, she started on the 13th, but a massive deluge of rain and a sewage filled basement has delayed this post. So here she is!

5 months already!!

I find it hard to believe that it has been 5 months since Adelaide was born. It seems like just yesterday. She decided to celebrate in her cheerleading outfit from Grandma Mona. As much as it pains me to see her wearing anything with a Bears logo on it, here she is. This one's for you, Grandma!

Skin and bones.

Not that I'm in a hurry for Halloween or anything, but these new p.j.'s from Mona are too cute to sit in the drawer for another month. Thanks again, Mo!!

Milk, it does a body good!

GO PACK!!!!!!

We were ready for the Packers to kick off the 2008 season tonight. How better to do it than on Monday Night Football. Check out the new hat from Grandma Mona, nice! Addie looks ready to brave the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Thanks Grandma!!

Check out my new Baby Einstein jumper!
