A little happy time on the activity mat.

Adelaide gets some sensory overload on her activity mat every now and then. She'll watch the lights and play with the toys, and then her arms and legs will go stiff and she'll just stare at the lights and not move. Can there possibly be too much of a good thing?

When I catch some video of the overload, I'll be sure to post it. Until then, just enjoy the cuteness.

9 lbs!!

Adelaide had a check up at the doctor today and tipped the scales at 9 pounds. That's up almost half a pound from last Friday. She's catching up, Sam! ; )

p.s. I like this picture, while Courtney feels otherwise. What do you think?

Go IU!!

Here's Adelaide in her IU gear. Isn't 56 degrees on May 20th nice? At least she gets to wear some cool warm duds.

Addie gets a bottle

We took Adelaide to see her doctor because she wasn't feeling so hot. We have to feed her every other time with a 50/50 breast milk and water mix until Tuesday. Mom wasn't a big fan of feeding with a bottle so I got to step in. The bewildered look on her face as she was getting nourishment from dad instead of mom was quite funny.

Addie's Christening

On Mother's Day Adelaide was Christened atImmanuel Lutheran Church. It was a very nice service and she was an angel. No tears or crabbing!

To bad we can't say the same for her sister. This was the best picture we could get of the whole family. Oh well.

Here we are with Adelaide's Godmother Jan Brault, and her husband Mark and thier kids June and Cassie.

8 LBS!

Adelaide went for her check-up today. No change in length, but she tips the scales at a whopping 8 lbs. I know that it's not quite up to par with her cousin, but she'll catch up soon enough. ; )

Yay!!!

Adelaide's umbilical cord fell off today! Now she can wear her big girl diapers.

Fun day?

Adelaide got to come visit dad at work today, because he was having a bad day. He got to work this morning, and discovered a water main break that flooded the office and money room, leaving mud, sand and water throughout.
Water was bubbling up between the sidewalk and the parking lot.
The whole front was awash,as was the back and even the woods.
My office was under water.
Mud and sand worked its way up through the foundation from the pressure of the break.

They had to dig a small hole to fix the main, no?

Visitors from the great white north.

Last week my parents came down to see Adelaide. They were bowled over by her, to say the least.

Just chillin'

Adelaide enjoys her new Boppy lounger, which mom affectionately calls the "dog bed".

Soccer's not for everyone.

Here is quite possibly the largest yawn I have ever seen her make. This was on the downswing, seeing that my phone's camera is a bit sluggish. She seemed to prefer napping to Annika's soccer practice.

She's a sleeper.

She sleeps through her first car wash.
She sleeps at Annika's soccer practice.
She sleeps at annika's soccer game.
She sleeps on dad.
She sleeps on dad, again. Must be the built in padding. Warm and cozy.

Just a swingin'....

Addie tries out her "new" swing. So far, so good. Many thanks to Sam, Bo, Aunt Nat, and Uncle Rog!

It's been a while...

Don't worry, we haven't disappeared. I went back to work last week and Courtney has been working on her portfolio for school, so not much time for blogging. So lets catch up.
