A Real Playdate, FINALLY!

Addie and Sam finally figured out the real meaning of playdate. Today both of them were awake and aware of each other while Sam was over.

We all ate lunch together! Well, sort of... Addie was in her bouncer in the dining room, but she didn't eat.

Bo and Annika had Jimmy John's and Sam had a grilled cheese, peaches, and blueberry shredded wheat.

Who's the big girl!?!?

It's time for.......CEREAL!!!!!!!!! That's right, our big girl is eating cereal. Actually, she started on the 13th, but a massive deluge of rain and a sewage filled basement has delayed this post. So here she is!

5 months already!!

I find it hard to believe that it has been 5 months since Adelaide was born. It seems like just yesterday. She decided to celebrate in her cheerleading outfit from Grandma Mona. As much as it pains me to see her wearing anything with a Bears logo on it, here she is. This one's for you, Grandma!

Skin and bones.

Not that I'm in a hurry for Halloween or anything, but these new p.j.'s from Mona are too cute to sit in the drawer for another month. Thanks again, Mo!!

Milk, it does a body good!

GO PACK!!!!!!

We were ready for the Packers to kick off the 2008 season tonight. How better to do it than on Monday Night Football. Check out the new hat from Grandma Mona, nice! Addie looks ready to brave the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. Thanks Grandma!!

NEW TOYS!!!

Check out my new Baby Einstein jumper!

Trying some big girl stuff.

As she grows, Addie begins to experiment with some big girl equipment. I think there's some mixed emotions on her part.

Two for the price of one.

Trying to get a good laugh.

Ever notice how hard it is to get a good laugh on film? Maybe we have to sneak up on her, like a National Geographic special.

It's football season already?

Addie and Sam were enjoying Bo's first football game over the weekend.

It's been a while.....

Did you ever notice that when you get a promotion at work, become general contractor for a major project , have two wonderful children to chase , go on a whirlwind 3 day "vacation", and try to visit family who you haven't seen forever, and end up in the hospital you get behind on a few things? Even my Webkinz habit has really taken a hit. Well, I'll quit whining now, and you can enjoy.

Sad baby.

Addie had a little vomiting and dehydration spell that landed her in the hospital. Not a fun time, but she's all better now!

More family.

Last Sunday we went out to my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Frank's for my cousin Tracey's 40th birthday. Unfortunately for my cousin, Addie was the star of the show. The best part was when their dog Buck decided he was Addie's new guard dog. When Addie was an the floor on her receiving blanket, she started to roll underneath Courtney's recliner, Buck reached out with his paw and pulled her away from the chair. Good boy, Buck! Don't worry, I was on the floor next to the recliner too, but I let Buck take all the credit.

Nice cheeks!

A couple of weeks ago, I had a meeting in Illinois with my boss, Cynthia. What should have been a half hour meeting turned into two and a half hours, and I blame it all on my junior assistant, Addie. When Cynthia was walking up to the Starbuck's we met at, she saw Addie and ran inside. She said, "I wanted to ask you to bring her, but I didn't think I should." PLEASE! Any time we have a meeting now, my junior assistant will be along for the ride. While we were getting ready to leave, I changed Addie's diaper and I told Cynthia about the birthmark on Addie's butt. She said I should take a picture of it in case it should ever change color or shape. Here it is.

Grandma Lois

Addie's grandma Lois (my mom), loves her to pieces. It is a struggle to get her to let go sometimes.

Auntie Em

On our 3 day 1,100 mile blast through the great white north, our first stop was Madison. We got in late Thursday night, and breakfast Friday morning was with our friend Emily. It was the first time she got to see Addie in person, and I think she liked it. We decided to bookend our trip with Emily. She was our pit-stop on the way back Sunday, when she made us a great lunch. Thanks Em! P.S. Where was Annika? Behind the camera.
